Claude skills for SEO and GEO: 17 skills and MCP servers reviewed
The skills and MCP servers that help Claude, Codex, Cursor or Gemini CLI with SEO and GEO: what each one does, what it runs on your machine, its trust level under our method and how to install it.
The short answer
For an SEO audit that runs nothing on your machine, start with an instructions-only skill: SuperSEO Skills or, in French, Skills SEO GEO. Both are "reviewed" with no warning under our method. Large packs such as Claude SEO go further, but they run dozens of scripts. To work on real data (keywords, rankings, links), you need an MCP server, often paid per use.
Why review a skill before you install it
A skill is a folder of instructions (a SKILL.md file) that Claude, Codex, Cursor or Gemini CLI load when a task calls for it. It can also ship scripts that the agent runs with your user rights. A study of 31,132 public skills found at least one dangerous pattern in 26.1% of them, and skills with scripts were about twice as likely to be vulnerable (arXiv 2601.10338). In February 2026, Koi Security also reported 341 malicious skills on ClawHub, the OpenClaw registry (The Hacker News).
SEO skills carry one more risk: they read web pages, and a page can hide instructions meant for the agent. For every skill in this guide, we read the public code without running it, noted the commit we read and listed what it touches. Details are in our review method. "Reviewed" is a finding on a given date, not a guarantee.
How this list is made
We took the skills and MCP servers filed under SEO and GEO in our catalog and grouped them by need. Within each section, the order is the catalog order: official publisher first, then public code, then A to Z. The trust level is shown, it is not used to sort. No link in this guide is an affiliate link.
Instructions-only skills, no scripts
These skills contain only instructions. The agent does the research with its own web tools, which limits what can run on your machine. They are the right starting point for a site with a few dozen pages.

Connect your SEO data
A skill alone does not know your rankings or search volumes. For that you need an MCP server linked to an SEO tool. Several are hosted services whose code is not public: they stay "not reviewed", and we only describe what the publisher documents. Start with read-only access when it is offered.

- Open the skill's page on our site and read the warnings.
- Install from the official repository, pinned to a commit when you can.
- Read the SKILL.md and the scripts before the first run.
- Use read-only keys, never your production credentials.
- Keep manual approval for anything that publishes or changes your site.

FAQ
What is the best Claude skill for SEO?
It depends on what you need. For a first audit with no scripts, SuperSEO Skills or, in French, Skills SEO GEO. For a full audit with a report, Claude SEO, after reading its warnings. For your real Google data, Search Console MCP. We do not rank skills by quality: the order follows official publisher, public code, then A to Z.
Can an SEO skill change my site?
The audit skills in this guide read your site without changing it. Some packs can write to your files if you work in your site's code, and the SE Ranking pack can send URLs to Google's Indexing API. Each card shows what the skill can do on your behalf.
Do I have to pay to use an SEO skill?
The skills themselves are free. SEO data is not always free: DataForSEO, Semrush, Ahrefs, SE Ranking and Haloscan charge per use or need a subscription. Search Console MCP is free and reads your Google data.
Is a "reviewed" skill safe?
Not necessarily. "Reviewed" means we read the public code at a given commit without finding a blocking pattern. An update can change everything, and hosted services are not covered. Always read the SKILL.md and scripts before you install.
