Claude skills for sales prospecting and cold email
The skills and MCP servers that help your AI agent find prospects, write your messages and update your CRM: what each one does, what it sends to third parties, privacy rules and how to install it.
The short answer
To prepare outreach without connecting any tool, Anthropic's Sales plugin (Anthropic) is the most complete: 36 skills, instructions only. To write your messages, Cold Message Writer is enough and runs no script. To find email addresses, you need a data service such as Serveur MCP Hunter. Keep sequence sending in your email tool, with a human approval step.
Why review matters for prospecting
A prospecting skill handles personal data (names, emails, job titles) and often API keys to your CRM or sending tool. A malicious skill can copy your contact base or send messages in your name. These cases exist: Koi Security found 341 malicious skills on ClawHub in February 2026: most asked users to install a fake prerequisite that delivered an information stealer (The Hacker News). A study of 31,132 public skills found high-severity dangerous patterns in 5.2% of them (arXiv 2601.10338).
For every skill below, we read the public code without running it and noted what it sends to third parties. Hosted services with closed code stay "not reviewed". Everything is explained in our method. No skill is guaranteed to be safe.
Privacy rules, briefly
In the EU, cold email falls under the GDPR and national rules. In France, the CNIL requires prior consent from consumers; business contacts must be told, the message must relate to their job, and they must be able to object easily at each send (CNIL). Find and qualify prospects

- Do not let the agent send on its own: it prepares, you send.
- Use keys limited to reading or to one purpose, never an admin key.
- Keep the source of each contact, so you can answer an access request.
- Add an unsubscribe link to every email, including B2B.

Which Claude skill is best for prospecting?
Anthropic's Sales plugin covers prospect research, call prep and message drafting, with instructions only. To write a cold message, Cold Message Writer. To find email addresses, Hunter MCP.
Can I let Claude send my cold emails?
Technically yes, with your sending tool's MCP server. We advise keeping sending manual: the agent prepares, you approve. A mistake reaches all your prospects.
Is AI-assisted cold email legal in the EU?
The same rules apply whatever the tool. In France, the CNIL requires prior consent for consumers; business contacts must be told, the message must relate to their job and they must be able to object at each send.
Are these skills guaranteed to be safe?
No. We read the public code without running it, and the hosted servers of HubSpot, Brevo, Instantly or lemlist are not covered. Give them keys with limited rights.
